RCS is a new messaging method that replaces the outdated SMS and MMS. RCS uses an Internet connection and it is also called as iMessage for Android. The use of RCS is also increasing, until Apple is also forced to integrate this messaging feature on their devices. But did you know that if the Android device you are using uses a custom ROM or has been rooted, RCS cannot be used?
It is not only unusable. It further confuses the user by telling the connection status to remain connected. But the message was not received or was not sent successfully. Even sadder, after RCS failed the messaging app also did not resend messages in SMS or MMS. It's strange that Google who campaigned to invite Apple to use RCS is now preventing some Android users from using it.
According to Google, the security system on RCS runs automatically. To ensure that the RCS system complies with standards, they prevent RCS access to devices using custom ROM and root because spam and scam criminals are said to use the same devices in their modus operandi. Google will investigate this to ensure that users can use RCS even if the device has been modified.
