Last month, Samsung confirmed that their AI technology will expand to devices other than phones as well. At the time only Galaxy Wearables were confirmed to receive Galaxy AI features. Galaxy Ring with AI Health, AI translation with Galaxy Buds and most recently Samsung will launch AI television as well.
On 27 March 2024, 9PM Samsung Malaysia will hold an Unbox & Discover 2024 event. In a short video shared, the event will showcase their new televisions equipped with AI features. One of the televisions to be launched is the new Samsung Neo QLED 8K. In the Samsung website a few days ago they revealed the 75″ Neo QLED 8K QN900D television model with the NQ8 AI Gen3 chip that supports AI 8K scaling features and AI Motion Enhancer Pro.
Features related to audio and Internet connectivity are also tipped to receive quality upgrades. Features like voice recognition or better voice commands were also teased in the same video. We'll have to wait for the event on March 27th soon to see what Samsung means with AI television. Will the same Galaxy AI features be included or will the existing machine learning features on most smart televisions be termed AI.
