Surina Shukri, former CEO of MDEC has passed away early this morning. Surina Shukri has previously led MDEC since 2019, and contributed to the development of a number of national digital agendas.
Before joining MDEC, he worked for around 17 years in banking and investment, including at JPMorgan Chase & Co. In 2018, he left the JP Morgan Chase company, and started the company SheNovation Ventures focusing on advisory services involving financial technology and blockchain, before in 2019 he became the CEO of MDEC.
After MDEC, he was also involved in several companies, including Capital A and CIMB.
