When Tesla begins its foothold in Malaysia on 20 July 2023, the first car model introduced for pre-order is the Tesla Model Y.
Today, Tesla Malaysia has released a statement saying that the first delivery of the electric car has already begun. It is sold at a starting price of RM199,000 for the most basic model and rises to RM246,000 for the Long Range model and RM288,000 for the Y Performance Model.
This is for models with the basic Autopilot system only. Tesla Model Y also comes with a WLTP distance of 533km with one full charge and can move from 0-100KM/h in 3.7 seconds for Model Y Performance.
It was also reported that around 70 Tesla customers who have pre-ordered this electric car have picked up their new electric SUV at the Tesla Malaysia headquarters in Cyberjaya. It is expected that more customers will receive their vehicles in the coming days and weeks.
