The Ministry of Health Targets Digital Transformation "One Individual One Record" Within 4 To 5 Years

The Ministry of Health is now aiming for the implementation of digital health transformation, under the strategy of "one individual one record", in the next four to five years.

This strategy is expected to be implemented with the use of electronic medical records in each health facility involved. To make this happen, a Digital Health Division will be established, with a focus on drawing up a holistic health digitization plan. With sufficient data, it is expected to be able to offer better and more accurate, comprehensive medical quality. Several steps will also be taken to ensure that communication between private providers and the government runs smoothly.

Currently, around 20% of hospitals use electronic medical records or (EMR). While the same thing is implemented in 236 health clinics out of a total of 3876 clinics.
