Samsung's first smartwatch was the Galaxy Gear launched in 2013. The original design of the Galaxy Gear was a square watch face with a camera built into the strap. Now it is starting to be heard that the next smart watch from Samsung will return to this design by replacing the round watch face design that is used now.
Samsung reportedly seriously wants to return to a square design that is more in line with the design of the Apple Watch from the beginning. As Galaxy Watch users, we prefer a round watch face design that is more in line with the majority of traditional watch designs. It also has a scrolling system on the bezel that is quite easy to use.
If Samsung returns to the square design, the unique feature of the control on the bezel will definitely no longer be usable. What is certain is that Samsung will be more serious in offering smartwatches with health trackers starting with the Galaxy Ring. There was a time when we thought Tizen was a good watch operating system but it has been replaced by Wear OS in partnership with Google.
