YTL confirmed that the supercomputer that will be built in their AI data center is one of the first to be equipped with the world's most powerful artificial intelligence (AI) system, the NVIDIA GB200 NVL72. Each NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 system consists of 36 Grace Hopper CPUs paired with 72 NVIDIA Blackwell B200 GPUs.
YTL's AI data center is located on the YTL Green Data Center campus with an area of 1640 acres in Johor. It also uses a 500MW solar source to ensure sustainability. In a statement issued by Jensen Huang, this YTL supercomputer will offer powerful DGX Cloud computing capabilities for the Asia Pacific region.
The performance of the NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 is up to 30X the ability of the NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPU. Each NBL72 has up to 1.4 exaFLOP AI processing capabilities and 30TB of memory. It will be the base unit for NVIDIA's latest DGX SuperPOD.
