Telekom Malaysia, together with telemedicine company Teleme has today launched an e-Pharmacy service that will not only benefit small and medium scale pharmacy shops, but also customers who are having difficulty getting their prescription drugs.
Comes with Unifi Business fixed broadband plan with 100Mbps speed
up to 2Gbps, and in collaboration with the Teleme Technologies tele-medicine platform, this solution offers access to over 500 licensed healthcare professionals for teleconsultation, e-prescription, customized Digital Signatures, e-health reading materials, and patient medical record keeping.
This service can be accessed through the Teleme application which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store application warehouse and also the Apple App Store, where the user can then be used to enter a request to buy prescription medicine from the pharmacy.
For those who need a new prescription or doctor's letter, this application also comes with a tele-consultation feature where a video call can be made with the patient to get a new drug prescription. The pharmacy will then enter the request, and after getting confirmation from the doctor or clinic, it can then be sold to patients who need it.
This solution aims to help pharmacists supply essential medicines and
pharmaceutical services, especially among rural and difficult communities
get service. Through e-prescription, this community will have more access
smooth to medicines and improve patient health care.
For pharmacies, to get access to this e-Pharmacy service, they only need to subscribe to a Unifi Business broadband internet plan 100Mbps up to 2Gbps and they can ask a Unifi Business consultant for ways to register for this service.
