TnG eWallet, TnG Digital's financial application that includes facilities such as toll payment, parking, financial investment, money loans and so on today announced that they will add a number of new features to the application throughout the year 2024.
The first is the revolving credit line feature or revolving credit balance for all types of payments made through TnG eWallet. Not many details have been given about this feature for now, but Alan Ni, CEO of TnG Digital told us that this feature will make it easier to pay for small items without users needing to top up their digital wallet first.
Similar to BNPL's functionality on other digital wallets, the amount borrowed will be calculated at the end of the month, and the user will be asked to pay the amount when the time comes.
The money lending feature has already been introduced by TnG eWallet through GOpinjam, and it seems that it will come with some interesting updates such as an increase in the limit and also the loan period, lower interest rates not only for regular users, but also for merchant users who use the TnG eWallet service .
Among the new features that interest us is that TnG eWallet will also appear with a gold purchase feature, where TnG Digital will work with a local bank to announce this function later. What is known for now is that although this gold purchase is done virtually, physical gold can be delivered to the buyer if it is needed.

When asked, a spokesperson from TnG Digital said that when these features are introduced later, it will not receive sharia compliant certification first. However, just like GoInvest features, it will come with sharia compliant certification after these features are launched.
For now, TnG Digital has not yet confirmed when these features will be introduced, but said that users will not have to wait long for them. For some of these features, they only need to wait for regulatory approval from certain parties before they can be introduced.
