Analyst Ming-Cho Kuo today reported that public response to the Apple Vision Pro was higher than Apple's original expectations. Apple is now believed to be targeting up to 250,00 Vision Pro units to be sold throughout 2024 compared to the original forecast of only around 200,000 units before.
Kuo also said that he believes that Apple will announce the sale of Vision Pro to more markets will be announced during the WWDC event later. At the same time he quoted internal sources as saying that only 1% of Vision Pros are returned by customers who bought them. Of these, 20-30% return these spatial computing headsets because they don't know how to start using them.
At this point the Apple Vision Pro has only been sold in the United States since January. It immediately went viral on social media when owners wore it while walking and in public. In Malaysia there are those who are willing to spend up to RM25,000 just to be the earliest adopters.
