The message pin feature is very helpful and important to me. No matter which messaging platform I use, there are bound to be some messages I pin for quick access or to not forget to reply to. For WhatsApp, only three messages can be pinned and one message in the chat window. Recently, WABetaInfo reported that WhatsApp may soon allow users to pin more than three messages.
In the tested example, the source successfully pinned five messages directly. But the exact amount is still unknown and it may change in the later stable version. For me, three is actually more than enough. But if you are a WhatsApp user who handles a lot of Groups or deals with a lot of important people, this new update might benefit you.
