Through the latest Bloomberg report, Apple is reported to be developing their own language model that is optimized to run on devices, at the same time prioritizing the offering of operating speed and also privacy to users.
Reports about this have been present several times before, not to mention the explosion of the artificial intelligence arena, making Apple seem a little behind in the arena. Earlier, it was also said that Apple might offer Google Gemini integration on their devices.
Apple is also said to be taking a more cautious approach, in addition to licensing content from various publishers for training purposes. This simultaneously overcomes the problem of various artificial intelligence models whose training material is questionable.
Apple is expected to share more about their artificial intelligence model offerings at the WWDC event scheduled for June 2024.
