Apple May Cancel Folding iPad Project If Screen Folding Effect Can't Be Removed

For the past two years it has been reported that Apple is expected to introduce a device with a foldable screen this year. One of the products said to be coming soon is an iPad with a foldable screen. But it's still not sure if the iPad folds into an iPhone or just a foldable iPad.

Recently, Mark Gurman through Power On, revealed that Apple engineers are actively testing the best screen for this foldable iPad. Apple is said to want a foldable screen without any folding effect and if it is not successfully developed this project may continue to be cancelled. But the report does not clarify whether other foldable screen projects will also be canceled such as the MacBook with a 20.3-inch screen?

We previously reported that Apple is said to be moving the Vision Pro engineering team to the foldable screen project. The iPhone with a folding screen is said to arrive as early as 2027 instead of this year or 2025. Let's all look forward to more information in the future about this potential Samsung Galaxy Z Fold competitor.
