Best Devices Raya 2024 – Best Value Class

Hari Raya is almost here, what about the best value Raya devices? This year is quite challenging as it is no longer mid-range devices challenging flagships, but entry-level devices are starting to offer great features and functions making many device offerings worth owning. Although it was difficult for us to choose which one, after serious discussion with the editorial board, here are the three devices with the best value for Hari Raya 2024.

As per our tradition, our list of Best Raya Devices is presented to you. This is an early year award that includes the best devices so far. With the raya money that will be collected later, these are the devices that we recommend because it is felt that it is worth having for all readers.

Third Place – iQOO 12

This device is exempt even though it was launched in 2023. This is because it arrived at the end of the year and did not compete when the Best Device of 2023 was held. The iQOO 12 really challenges other competitors that also use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip at an affordable price. Satisfying specifications such as 6.78″ AMOLED 144Hz HDR10+ screen and very impressive performance.

The camera capabilities are also quite good and regardless of the lighting situation iQOO 12 can provide results that do not disappoint. 5000mAh battery with 120W charging, 16GB memory with another 16GB virtual memory makes this device have 32GB RAM and the selling price is only RM3399.

Specifications: 6.78” AMOLED 2800 x 1260, 144Hz, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (4nm, 1X Cortex-X3 3.2GHz + 4X Cortex-A715 2.8GHz + 3X Cortex-A510 2.0 GHz), 16GB RAM, 512GB storage, 50+64+ 50 (Main), 16MP (Selfie), 5000mAh (120W), Android 14.

Price: RM3399 (16/512 GB)

Second Place – Infinix Note 40 Pro

This is one of the entry-level devices that challenge the premium mid-range devices. The Infinix Note 40 Pro is packed with premium features and functions at a ridiculous price. The device is powered by a Dimensity 7020 chip which is good enough for daily use. Although the benchmark scores are not stellar, the first play experience is beyond expectations.

Meanwhile, a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging and also supports MagCharge magnetic wireless charging. If you think fast charging and MagCharge are gimmicks, the Infinix Note 40 Pro is designed to look like a flagship device with a curved screen and ultra-thin body design. At RM1098, it's a killer mid-range device.

Specifications: 6.78” AMOLED 1080 x 2436, 120Hz, Dimensity 7020 (6nm, 2x 2.2 GHz Cortex-A78 + 6x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55), 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, 108+2+2 (Main), 32MP (Selfie) , 5000mAh (45W), Android 14.

Price: RM1098 (8/256 GB)

Champion – OnePlus 12R

OnePlus Malaysia this year is a bit lonely, but that doesn't mean the devices launched this year are bland. The OnePlus 12R is our pick for this category because it's like the OnePlus 11 that won this category last year. It is equipped with a 6.78″ LTPO4 AMOLED 120Hz Dolby Vision screen, powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the included 5500 mAh battery is quite large complete with 100W charging.

The main camera is the same 50MP as the OnePlus 11, only the wide-angle and macro sensors have been changed. If you want to use a OnePlus device and don't mind the absence of a Hasselblad camera, the OnePlus 12R is the best value device for you because the package offered is quite satisfactory.

Specifications: 6.78” LTPO4 AMOLED 120Hz Dolby Vision, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4nm,1x 3.2 GHz Cortex-X3 + 2x 2.8 GHz Cortex-A715 + 2x 2.8 GHz Cortex-A710 + 3x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A510), 16GB RAM, storage 512GB, 50+8+2 (Main), 16MP (Selfie), 5500mAh (100W), Android 14.

Price: RM3199 (16/512 GB)
