BlackBerry Teams Up With AMD For Robotics Platform




BlackBerry is now announcing a collaboration with leading chip manufacturer AMD, in developing a platform that will facilitate the development of robotics for industry.


In addition to industrial use, the robotic platform is also targeted to cover the health industry. As many know, BlackBerry is already popular with their operating system or ONX platform, and this new robotics platform is expected to use it.


The robotics arena has been getting a lot of attention lately – in line with the increasing use of artificial intelligence. In fact, some companies have started to look at the use of robotics in reducing operating costs.


BlackBerry itself today is known for its cyber security offerings, as well as licensing a number of software. With this step into the robotics arena, it is expected to provide more revenue generation opportunities for BlackBerry.
