DJI Avata 2 Announced With Longer Flight Duration




Almost two years after the DJI Avata FPV drone was launched, the DJI Avata 2 was launched yesterday with several improvements. This time the DJI Avata 2 can fly for up to 23 minutes compared to only 18 minutes on the previous model.



It still uses a quad-rotor configuration and a small body compared to other DJI drones. In addition, the camera now comes with a 155-degree ultra wide-angle lens paired with a 12MP 1/1.3″ sensor, Video can be recorded at settings up to 4K 60fps. The gimbal can also be moved 5 degrees larger. The drone's internal storage is 46GB.



The DJI RockSteady system will ensure that the video footage taken looks stable while the DJI HorizonSteady locks the camera to always point to the horizon. At the beginning of the DJI RC Motion 3 controls, there are shortcut buttons to perform 360-degree flying actions, turn 180 degrees and drift easily.


FPV control is done through DJI Goggles 3 equipped with dual OLED screens with FHD resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The selling price of the complete set of The DJI Avata 2 with DJI Goggles 3 and the DJI RC Motion 3 controller is $999 (~RM4762).
