Facebook, Instagram And Threads Will Start Labeling AI Generated Content Starting May 2024

Meta has now announced that they will begin labeling content generated by generative artificial intelligence on their platform, starting in May 2024. This change will be visible on Facebook, Instagram and even Threads.

With this clearer label, users will be able to easily distinguish whether a certain content is generated by AI or otherwise. According to the initial sharing, Meta will label it with the “Made with AI” label.

Meta states that they will allow users to self-label certain content generated by artificial intelligence. In addition, the Meta system itself will scan according to various artificial intelligence generator standards, and label the relevant content.
