Fairphone Wants to Offer Cheaper Phones in 23 Countries

Fairphone is a manufacturer of smartphones and audio products that not only cares about the environment, but also gives users the right to repair the device themselves. Not only that, their smartphones also support software updates for up to 10 years. Recently, Reinier Hendriks as CEO of Fairphone has shared about Fairphone's future plans.

First of all, he expressed his desire to expand product sales to 23 other countries. Most likely it is still in Europe and it is not certain whether or not there are plans to bring this device to the global level. Then Hendriks also intends to sell the device at a cheaper price than the Fairphone 5, which is from €699 to €400.

Fairphone will also continue to work with Google and Qualcomm to make their idea a success. Later, if Fairphone products are expanded to more countries, ordering bulk components is cheaper and this can contribute to the sale of more affordable Fariphone products. If the Fairphone was sold in Malaysia at RM2060 for a mid-range device that you can repair yourself and last 10 years, would you buy it?
