Google Introduces Chip For ARM-Based Data Centers, Named Axion

Google is now introducing their own developed processing chip based on the ARM architecture, called Axion. This chip is intended for enterprise users through data centers.

Google says it offers 30% more performance than any other competitor that also uses ARM-based builds for their chips. Today, there are several other Google competitors in this arena, the main one being Amazon AWS.

In addition to better performance, it also offers better energy savings – with an estimated energy consumption efficiency of 60% compared to x86.

For now, Google has not yet announced the price, the date of the offer, nor some technical data related to it.
