Yesterday the Insta360 X4 action camera was launched as their first product that can record at 8K 30FPS settings. Like the previous model, this camera can still record 360 degrees with a compact body.
In addition to 8K recording, the X4 can also record 5.7K 60p and 4K 100p. For photo recording, there is a choice of 72MP and 18MP modes. Improvements are also made to the battery which is now 2290 mAh which is able to offer a recording duration of up to 135 minutes which is much longer than only 81 minutes on the X3 model.
The X4 also now has a removable camera lens protection system. With this protector, the owner no longer has to worry about the license being scratched, cracked or broken during strenuous activities. The camera can be taken diving up to a depth of 10 meters just like the previous model. A 2.5″ LCD touch screen is placed on the side of the body to review recordings and also change the settings of the X4.
The X4 software allows for 360-degree recording, Me Mode that records only the user, locking the horizon position and also built-in stabilization that ensures the video does not shake when recorded. In Malaysia Insta360 X4 is sold at a price of RM2499 but sales have not yet opened.
