Recently, Microsoft seems to be testing a feature that allows users to set memory usage limits on the Microsoft Edge web browser. It is being introduced on the latest Canary builds, and can be accessed through the System and Performance settings menu.
A slider bar can be shown below the menu and you will be able to set the amount of RAM you want to use on this web browser. It somewhat ensures that your web browser does not consume so much memory and helps in enabling your computer to operate at an optimal level.
Users can choose to use 1GB of RAM only up to the maximum amount of memory available on your computer. So far it is not known yet when Microsoft will introduce this feature in the final build of the Windows 11 operating system.
