New Google Find My Device Launches With More Device Tracking

Find My Device is a feature that we use whenever we forget where an Android device is placed. The device can be tracked and then the ringtone can be activated to make it easier to find. This morning the new Find My Device was announced by Google with support for tracking more objects.

The new Find My Device can now track phones, tablets, watches, bluetooth accessories and object trackers like Tiles. More importantly, it can track the presence of foreign bluetooth object trackers that may be used for spying purposes. This feature supports Android object trackers as well as Apple AirTag.

Then if the owner has several Google Nests at home, Find My Device will tell the object in the nearest Google Nest. Finally, the owner can also share the location of the object he wants to find with friends or family members. Let's say an Android tablet is left behind at mom's house in the village, you can ask mom to help find it with this sharing feature.

At this point the new Find My Device is only available to users in the United States and Canada first.
