Many television producers use names that are strange and difficult to remember. Sony realizes this and for its new line of smart televisions, the name is easier to use. Not only that, Sony also started offering MiniLED panels and will soon offer a Bravia Core streaming service with IMAX movies that you can buy credits to redeem for various movies.
Bravia 3, Bravia 7, Bravia 8 and Bravia 9 are 3 new smart television series. Starting from LED panels, OLED and straight to MiniLED. There are 16 televisions in total, but only the Bravia 7,8,9 with the Sony XR chip while the Bravia 3 remains with the X1 chip. Sony promises that the quality of the screen and the colors that users will enjoy in the future will be the same as what the studio wants. The brightness of the screen can also reach up to 4000 nits so that users who place the television at home with sunlight exposure can still watch well.
For televisions that use MiniLED and Sony XR chips, there is a technology where the lighting and color of the screen are adaptive according to the content being played. For example, if there is a scene focusing on the flashlight - only the area of the light is brighter while the other area is darker. This new chip also promises a quality unmatched by competitors, because in the demonstration that Sony Malaysia showed - competitor televisions with more LEDs are still not as beautiful as Sony televisions with fewer LEDs.
The studio mode was named Studio Calibrated and it is aimed at Prime Video, Netflix and Bravia Core applications. For all of these new Bravia televisions, Pure Stream technology is used for a better streaming experience. This new Sony television also comes with a remote control made of recycled plastic and users can also monitor energy consumption through the Eco dashboard 2.
The audio and display systems also support various standards such as Dolby Atmos, Acoustic Multi-Audio+, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, IMAX Enhanced and each of these televisions will also be the center speaker if matched with a new theater set that will be launched in the future. For now which specific model and what is the selling price in Malaysia has not been determined but Bravia 3, Bravia 7, Bravia 8 and Bravia 9 will definitely be sold in Malaysia soon.
