Many Chinese-made devices are now starting to offer interesting generative AI features. Xiaomi with a focus on photos and Internet of things (IoT) devices, Infinix with Folax as a virtual assistant, Oppo with AndesGPT in China and many more. Starting this month, OnePlus will also include generative AI features on their devices.
This feature is seen to be similar to what Oppo will give to the Reno11 F from April 10, which is AI Eraser. With this feature, objects in the picture can be deleted with the help of AI. The user only needs to mark the parts to be deleted and the AI Eraser system will remove them automatically.
Kinder Liu as the president of OnePlus told that this is their first step in generative AI and in the future more AI features will be integrated into OnePlus devices. OnePlus didn't reveal their language model, but since they are now under Oppo wouldn't be surprised if OnePlus also uses AndesGPT. For now, AI Eraser will be available on OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, OnePlus 11, OnePlus Open, and OnePlus Nord CE 4 devices. It can be accessed directly from the gallery app.
