The Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, has now announced that they have received support from the Ministry of Economy to implement the development of the Mobile Hydrogen Refilling Station project, by the end of 2024.
This project is expected to involve several parties to collaborate, including Petronas Technology Ventures Sdn Bhd, NanoMalaysia Berhad, UMW Corporation Sdn Bhd, UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd, and also MGTC.
In parallel with this move, MOSTI announced that three units of Toyota Mirai vehicles will be brought into Putrajaya. This hydrogen-powered vehicle can travel up to 1000km with a full charge of 5.6 kilograms of hydrogen.
Touching on it, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated that hydrogen-powered vehicles are quieter than those that use gasoline fuel. At the same time, the Prime Minister shared the hope for the hydrogen fuel ecosystem in the country to grow more rapidly and develop - in line with comprehensive studies and research related to this technology.
