Qualcomm introduced their Qualcomm Snapdragon X series of CPUs last year which at the time came with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite offering which uses the Qualcomm Oryon chip which comes not only with processing power that rivals other laptop processing chips, but also with new artificial intelligence capabilities .
Recently, the CPU series has been added with a new offering, the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus. Where the Snapdragon X Elite processing chip series comes with 12 built-in Qualcomm Oryon cores, the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus shows the same 10 cores inside, and comes with a speed of up to 3.4GHz, and a new Adreno processing chip that comes with 3.8TFLOPS graphics processing capability.
This CPU also comes with an NPU chip that has the ability to process artificial intelligence functions at a rate of 45TFLOPS, the same as the Snapdragon X Elite chip which is the basic requirement for moving the artificial intelligence tasks of the Microsoft Windows 11 operating system.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus is expected to be used to power mid-range and mid-premium ARM laptops, and along with the Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite processing chip, will be present in offerings from various laptop brands by the middle of this year.
