Last January the Samsung Music Frame was launched with it being a smart speaker that looks like a picture frame. Like The Frame TV series before it, Music Frame is designed to be hung on the wall and looks inconspicuous as a speaker. For those interested, Samsung Malaysia has opened pre-orders for the Music Frame at a special price of RM1499 until May 2. After that date it will be sold at a price of RM1999 a piece.
The Music Frame is equipped with two woofers, two tweeters and two midrange drivers that allow it to play Dolby Atmos audio. Up to five Music Frames can be combined simultaneously. It is also compatible with the Q-Symphony system allowing it to work in parallel with Samsung smart TVs.
Through the Samsung SpaceFit system, the speaker will automatically adjust the audio according to the size of the room. Music devices can be tethered to the Music Frame using bluetooth as well as a WiFi connection but there is no AirPlay 2 support at this time.
Because it is a Samsung product, this picture frame speaker can also be used as a hub for internet devices connected to SmartThings. Each frame has an acrylic cover where the owner can choose to place a photo or print their own artwork on the front.
