At today's KL20 event, the Selangor government has also taken the opportunity to focus on the development of the semiconductor arena in Selangor. For this purpose, two things were announced, namely the development of IC Design Park based in Puchong, and also the formation of Selangor High Tech Park in Bukit Beruntung.
For the IC Design Park, the Selangor state government has obtained commitments from several parties, including ARM Ltd, Phison Malaysia, SkyeChip, and also the Shenzhen Semiconductor Industry Association.
Based in Puchong, it will be operational around July 2024, and is expected to house at least 300 local engineers in the IC design arena.
In addition, the Selangor government is also in the process of establishing the Selangor High Tech Park with a focus on the semiconductor industry in Bukit Beruntung. More information related to the Selangor High Tech Park is expected to be shared soon.
