Raya season is here again and if users who will drive to their hometown will receive free tolls throughout the country, it's a different story for Smart electric vehicle owners. The good news is that Smart #1 owners will receive a 30% discount on charging nationwide.
To get this 30% discount on charging, Smart #1 owners need to use the Hello Smart App to access and activate charging. In fact, the payment must also be completed through the Hello Smart App, and not using another charging application. Among the charging supported are Gentari, Jomcharge, and also ChargEV. There are more than 400 charging locations that can be activated using this application.
As an example calculation based on my previous driving experience, if the cost of DC charging in Bukit Gantang for 23 minutes is as much as RM 30, the payment after the 30% discount is at the price of RM 21.
This 30% charging discount promotion will start for 9 days from April 6 until April 14, 2024 and should definitely give Smart owners another reason to bring an EV home. And starting today until April 30, you can also stop by a nearby Smart showroom to try out their EV cars.
