The Best Devices of Raya 2024 – Premium Mid-Class

Every time Eid comes every year, we certainly don't forget to release a list of the best Eid devices for several categories. Thus this year we are back with the latest device list for the mid-premium device category. A slew of devices with solid specs make this category the most competitive.

As per our tradition, our list of Best Raya Devices is presented to you. This is an early year award that includes the best devices so far. With the raya money that will be collected later, these are the devices that we recommend because it is felt that it is worth having for all readers.

Choosing criteria

We have commented.

We are reviewing.

Price is not a barrier.

Good performance for his class.

Launched in Malaysia no later than December 2023.

Third Place – Nothing Phone (2a)

Nothing Phone (2a) has the most unique design to date due to the presence of a translucent back panel with Glyph LED system. The advantage is not only in the design but the specifications of this device also make it no less great.

The device uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro processor chip that provides a smooth and trouble-free usage experience. The screen display is also good with a size of 6.7″ AMOLED with a 50+50MP main camera and a 32MP selfie. One of the reasons why it is in third place is because of its charging support of just 45W. But the 5000 mAh battery capacity is big enough for all-day endurance.

Specifications: 6.7″ AMOLED 120Hz, MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro (4nm) (2X 2.8 GHz Cortex-A715 + 6X 2.0 Cortex-A510), 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, 50MP (Wide Angle), 50MP (Ultra Wide), 32MP (Selfie) ), 5000 mAh (45W), Android 14.

Price: RM1699 (12/256GB)

Second Place – Vivo V30 Pro

In second place is the Vivo V30 Pro which is quite special because of the camera with ZEISS lens and the Aura Light function as a lighting system for video recording. If the Nothing Phone (2a) is betting on style, the V30 Pro is betting on camera capabilities. The main camera consists of 50MP (wide angle), 50MP (ultra wide), 50MP (portrait) while the selfie camera is 50MP. The V30 Pro's camera system is amazing for a premium mid-ranger.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor chip is powerful enough with 12GB RAM, storage and 512GB memory. The 5000 mAh battery supports 80W fast charging. V30 Pro is not the champion of this category because it uses mono speakers. Hard to forgive on a device with a selling price of RM2599.

Specifications: 6.78” AMOLED HDR10+ 120Hz, MediaTek Dimensity 8200 (4nm) (1X 3.1 GHz Cortex-A78 + 3X 3.0 GHz Cortex-A78 + 4X 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55), 12GB RAM, 512 GB storage, 50MP (Wide) OIS, 50MP (Portrait), 50MP (Ultra-wide), 50MP (Selfie), 5000 mAh (80W), Android 14.

Price: RM 2599 (12/512GB)

Champion – Redmi Note 13 Pro+

The champion for the best device of the year for the mid-premium category is the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. It's a winner because it's a pretty complete smartphone. The 6.67″ AMOLED 120Hz screen supports Dolby Vision HDR display. The MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra chip used also performed quite well in various situations when the device was reviewed.

The main strength of this device lies in the main camera 200MP (Wide Angle), 8MP (Ultra Wide Angle), 2MP (Macro) and 16MP selfie camera. The picture results are quite good, sharp with preserved detail. The 5000 mAh battery charges at 120W power and it comes with stereo speakers, an IR emitter and IP68 waterproof capability. As we said earlier this device is quite complete.

Specifications: 6.67” CrytalRes AMOLED, 120Hz, MediaTek Dimensity 7200 (4nm) (2X 2.8 GHz Cortex-A715 + 6X 2.0 GHz Cortex-A510), 8/12GB RAM, 256/512 GB storage, 200MP (Wide) , 8MP (Ultra Wide Angle), 2MP (Macro), 16MP (Selfie), 5000 mAh (120W), Android 13.

Price: RM 1599 (8/256 GB), RM1999 (12/512 GB)

Thus this is a list of the best devices in the Mid-Premium category for Hari Raya 2024.
