Google seems to want more people to buy devices with their foldable screens. Recently, Android Authority reported that Google wants to harmonize the use of their flagship device names. So this year there will be no Pixel Fold 2 as it will probably be dubbed as Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
This is because Google reportedly uses the same chip for all three devices Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold which is the Tensor G4. Unlike last year, Pixel 8 with Tensor G3 but Pixel Fold with Tensor G2. The device will also have professional camera features, AI feature capabilities processed from within the device and more. There are also rumors of another name for this device being the Pixel 9 Pro XL.
Google will hold the Google I/O 2024 event on May 14. Who knows they will announce the presence of the Pixel 9 series officially. Let's all look forward to further reports on this device soon.
