The Video Game Industry In Malaysia Is Expected To Generate Revenue Of RM3.1 Billion In 2024




Digital Minister, Gobind Singh Deo has now shared that the income generated by the video game industry in Malaysia is expected to reach a value of RM3.1 billion in 2024. This also shows a positive increase from year to year.



He shared this at the launch of Xsolla Curine Academy, which is a learning center that focuses on video game development - based in Kuala Lumpur.


Currently, there are several companies developing video games in Malaysia – mainly focusing games on mobile platforms.


In parallel with this partnership, the Digital Minister also stated that MDEC is ready to help in the development of the video game industry arena in Malaysia, especially in terms of IP development, talent development, and also investment.
