Oppo became one of the first manufacturers to offer 5.5G network support in the smartphone industry. At the same time marks an important achievement in the evolution from 5G to 6G which also promises better improvements in terms of speed, latency and connection scale.
The support has now been extended to Vivo flagship devices as well and the official announcement was made via an update on Weibo. It was also introduced by China Mobile and is available on two new series namely Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X100 through an OTA update starting this month. The network performance speed is also claimed to increase better through it.
In the same development, Vivo did not miss to share the network speed results tested on the Vivo X100 Pro. It shows that the average download speed can reach 3619.19Mbps and the upload speed reaches 160.75Mbps with a latency of 19ms.
However this is just the beginning of the 5.5G era and more companies are expected to offer it on their devices over time. For the record, this network has also been tested on Xiaomi 14 Ultra devices before with an upload rate of 5132.34Mbps.
