Design And Screen
Looking at the design, it features a collection that epitomizes elegance and beauty. Available in several colors, both pastel and bright, the advantage of this collection lies in the construction details and finishes featured. Through it the neat, thin and light body design makes it easier to handle in various situations. The build also feels solid without any strange noise when tapped even though the back panel is made of plastic. Similarly, the hard aluminum frame that forms the main frame feels sturdy and comfortable in the hand.
The simplest example we can give is during a two-day-one-night work visit to Pantai Remis, Jeram Kuala Selangor recently. Throughout the tour, we took the device everywhere including while on the boat to various destinations and cycling around the property. We also often put the device in our back pocket and it didn't cause any problems at all. Used for other purposes such as taking pictures, recording videos and making edits for a long time also feel comfortable without putting a burden on the hands.
Most notable is the difference in the use of the main camera bump which is now round and relatively large. At a glance it reminds us of some other devices under the previous Vivo X and X Fold series. The camera body is built using shiny white aluminum material and the surrounding area is decorated with a jagged finish. A total of two main cameras with a main 50MP setup (Sony IMX 882) + 8MP ultra-wide loaded inside.
Then followed by the all-new Aura Light Portrait 3.0 support with the ability to adjust the color temperature based on the subject's environment. In addition to being able to adjust the brightness of the lights based on the distance of the subject directly. For example, when the subject is close to the brightness of the lamp, it will look soft and balanced. Then it becomes brighter when the subject is at a far distance to facilitate the process of taking pictures.
Next, the screen of the device is still 6.78-inch curved with FHD+ resolution (2400 X 1080) and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This is the same as the two existing models under the previous V30 series. The situation gets more interesting when all four bezels are almost the same size making it pleasing to the eye. The presence of the camera hole in the middle also does not interfere at all when we use the device for work, entertainment or daily communication.
The power and volume buttons are still in the same position on the right side of the device. There is nothing on the left side while the USB-C port is located at the bottom along with the speaker and slot for the SIM. The body of the device also passes IP64 waterproof and dustproof standards which are useful as additional protection. At the same time has a fingerprint scanner built into the screen. One thing that Vivo has sacrificed is the audio jack but it's not that surprising. Even the average device under the same series is not given that function.
Hardware And Software
The device received uses a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip with a combination of 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for the mainstay. Next, there is also an Extended RAM system that can add 8GB of RAM virtually using the storage section. It works automatically without the ability to change the size of the virtual memory used.
The device also runs the latest operating system FunTouch OS 14 based on Android 14. It is the latest version and the interface panel looks user-friendly with a neat layout. It also offers more options for personal settings along with most of the well-optimized features. For example, such as the Mini Windows function that allows a smoother multi-tasking experience. In addition to supporting up to 12 different applications in the background with an easier switching process.
In addition, FuntouchOS14 is also equipped with better video editing features with the ability to adjust video settings up to 4K/60FPS resolution with 25 filters provided together. Also followed by an update to the album function which now allows users to adjust various things including video playback speed and save photos more securely through Hidden Album.
Camera
The dual-camera system used consists of a 50MP IMX882 sensor that supports built-in OIS. This is also combined with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor that supports zoom up to 20X. The front camera is 32MP HD f/2.0 with fixed focus. The picture capture option can be taken at a ratio of 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 and full. Then followed by various built-in camera modes such as Night, Portrait, Photo, Video and More.
The camera is also easy to use with a built-in intelligence system that can automatically select the appropriate settings according to the situation. For those who need a more professional camera application, there is also a Micro Movir function that can also be used with various built-in interesting templates. Video capabilities can be recorded at a maximum setting of 4K 60FPS with only 1080P 30FPS recording for the front camera. The stabilization system provided is limited to 1080P 60FPS recording only.
Battery
The 5,500mAh battery used can be recharged at a maximum power of 44W. It is also the largest battery capacity that Vivo has ever used for a line of devices under the V series. Charging is wired using the USB-C port with a charging head provided in the purchase box.
What's In The Box
Here's what's included in the Infinix Smart 8 Pro box:

1 x 44W Charger Head.

Conclusion
So how? Looking in general the device offering is basically not much different from the two models under the existing V30 series. If there is a difference, it lies in the increased battery capacity, camera configuration, processor chip and unique design that is inspired by natural resources. The body of the device is also IP64 waterproof which is very useful as additional protection. Even so, all of this still depends on each individual's needs. A full review will also be published later in the future.
