At a special event held by Microsoft Malaysia today, in addition to the investment announcement for the local market, Microsoft also shared that today there are around 680,000 developers using GitHub, as of 2023.
Satya Nadella said the figure shows an increase and growth of 28% year on year. GitHub is one of the sites widely used by developers to collaborate, update code, and so on.
Along with this announcement, Microsoft also showcased the GitHub CoPilot Workspace, which enables the use of artificial intelligence to help solve various coding problems. It is also one of the services that supports input in Bahasa Malaysia – unlike a number of generative AI service providers in the market today.
Satya Nadella also stated that CoPilot Workspace will be one of the things that lead to drastic changes in software development moving forward.
