Recently, Jeff Pu, an analyst from Haitong International Securities, also revealed some information about the iPhone 17 family that will be launched in 2026. What is interesting about his report is that Apple is said to replace the Plus model with the iPhone 17 Slim.
Previous reports stated that the iPhone 17 will use a frameless screen with protective glass like Gorilla Glass Armor on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and a smaller screen size. The device will also be powered by a 2nm chip. The new screen size for the iPhone 17 Slim is 6.6-inches compared to the previous 6.7-inches on the Plus model. The iPhone 17, 17 Plus and 17 Pro are said to use a new, more complex design while the Pro Max model will retain its premium titanium construction.
In addition, these three iPhone 17 will use the same Dynamic Island design but is smaller on the iPhone 17 Pro Max. This small size can be used because FaceID will use the new metalens lens. The A18 or A19 chip will likely be used on the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim with 8GB of RAM. Then the A19 Pro chip will be used on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max with 12GB RAM. The selfie camera will also be upgraded to a 24MP sensor compared to the current 12MP.
For now, Apple is still working on the production of iPhone 16 which will be launched around next September. So clearer information about the iPhone 17 will only be known as early as the end of this year to the beginning of next year. Let's wait together.
