Dell Confirms Data of 49 Million Customers Stolen by Hackers

Dell sent a notification to their customers after confirming they had been hacked. A total of 49 million customer data is believed to have been accessed without permission. However, Dell said confidential banking data was not among those affected by this cyber attack.

Instead what was stolen was in the form of names, addresses and Dell product information that customers had purchased. On the dark web, stolen customer data has begun to be sold with what is confirmed to be a database involving purchases between 2017 to 2024. All affected customers will receive an email from Dell.
