Google Brings Features Like Circle To Search To iPhone

Circle to Search is a new search feature that uses the same technology as Google Lens, only with a simpler and more interesting way of using it. It was introduced to the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and will arrive to other Android devices starting next October. Recently, the Google Lens feature on the Google app for iOS began to include features like Circle to Search.

If Circle to Search requires gesture control and then needs to select the section to search, on the iPhone it uses the shortcut access method. This feature will take a screenshot of the content displayed on the screen and directly send it to Google Lens for faster search. iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max can access this feature using the Action Button while other iPhones can activate it with the Back Tap gesture control.

To use this feature, follow the steps below. I will use the iPhone 15 Plus as an example;

On iPhone go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch.

Scroll down and select Back Tap.

Choose to tap twice or three times.

Scroll down again to the Shortcuts section and select Search your screenshot.

Press Back Tap to confirm.

Do the Back Tap gesture to start using it.

In my review, some iPhones in the our  lab still don't support it despite using the latest Google apps. This feature will most likely be rolled out to the public in stages.
