Grab now seems to be expanding their advertising display on the app, and now also displays ads in the form of filling the screen when booking a vehicle.
This also shows an increase in the display of advertisements on the popular ride-hailing application. Previously, ads were only displayed on the section after a booking was confirmed. Now, after a booking is initiated, a full-screen ad is displayed for a few seconds, before being taken to the next screen that shows the driver waiting. On the screen, an advertisement is also displayed at the bottom.
This may be Grab's method of continuing to increase their income through display advertising. However, it is still unknown whether this kind of display will bring comfort to the majority of users or otherwise.
