Great Wall Motor Launches Motorcycle With 2 Liter Engine and Snapdragon Chip

Great Wall Motor (GWM) has been established in Malaysia for a long time and has a reputation as a car manufacturer. But it is now entering the motorcycle arena after launching the GWM Souo S 2000 ST which is equipped with a 2 liter 8 cylinder engine in a boxer configuration and an entertainment system that uses a Snapdragon chip.

The Souo S 2000 ST can be seen as China's answer to the Honda Gold Wing which became the standard for high-powered motorcycles designed to travel long distances in comfort. The 2L 8 cylinder boxer engine ensures that the rider also does not have to worry about the accelerating power but at the same time this motorcycle is stable.

The design is said to take inspiration from the head of a lion dance costume. The seat and handle are equipped with a heating system for winter riding. There is also a blind spot warning system, adaptive cruise control and a built-in navigation system.

The LCD screen is used to display driving information completely digitally. The infotainment system comes with eight speakers and it uses a Snapdragon chip to provide some smart functions. The chip model used is not specified by GWM.

It is not known when the GWM Souo S 2000 ST will go on sale and the price. It is still not known whether it will be marketed outside of China.
