The new IQOO Z9 and IQOO Z9x devices have been officially announced in Malaysia today. Both are marketed as mid-range devices with built-in 5G. Next it is said to be able to promise strong performance in an adequate price range in its class.
The IQOO Z9 5G is equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED FHD+ (2800 x 1260 pixels) screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. It also uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage for the mainstay. The included 6,000mAh battery can be charged via USB-C port and 80W fast charging.
IQOO completes this device with a 50MP Sony IMX882 + 2MP main camera (bokeh), a 16MP selfie camera and the latest software Funtouch OS 14 (based on Android 14). In addition to having an on-screen fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, an IR emitter and NFC support.
The IQOO Z9x 5G offers a 6.72-inch IPS LCD FHD+ (2408 × 1080 pixels) screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is then powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip, memory up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage for the mainstay. Also followed by a battery with a capacity of 6,000mAh that supports 44W fast charging.
The main camera consists of 50MP (wide angle) + 2MP (bokeh) and 8MP selfie. In addition to also loading a fingerprint scanner on the screen, stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, IP64 waterproof and NFC support as a complement. The selling price of the device starts at RM999 (8/128GB), RM1099 (8/256GB) and RM1199 (12/256GB) for the IQOO Z9x 5G. Meanwhile, IQOO Z9 5G is worth RM1399 (8/256GB) and RM1499 (12/256GB) one.
