The Johor state government has now announced that it will start offering Advanced Johor Premium WiFi from July 2024, in around 23 locations in the state, involving 63 hotspots. For information, similar services have been offered since before, but this new update will come with a minimum speed of 1Gbps at each location.
With this step, it will simultaneously benefit users - parallel to the development of the digital economy arena. To begin with, the Johor state government will introduce this offer in four hospitals, namely Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSAJB), Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI), Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital (HSNI) Batu Pahat and Enche Besar Hajjah Kalsom Hospital (HEBHK) Kluang.
In addition to hospitals, the same offer will also be extended to the education sector, and several other locations in the state of Johor.
This initiative is expected to benefit more than 12,000 families, especially in 25 PPR (People's Housing Program) hotspot areas.
