Artificial intelligence technology is seen as becoming increasingly powerful, and is now not only used by ordinary users to generate text, images or videos, but also used by various types of creativity, science and engineering industries to facilitate and speed up the tasks of professional designers, scientists and engineers.
To take advantage of these industry professionals, Lenovo Malaysia has announced that they will bring in the Lenovo ThinkStation P8 workstation-class computer that combines the power of the AMD Threadripper Pro 7000 WX CPU series and also the NVIDIA RTX 6000 graphics card.
In a black iron frame measuring 175 x 508 x 435 mm, this Lenovo ThinkStation P8 comes with the use of the new WRX90 chipset, along with the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX CPU offering which includes the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7995WX CPU with 96 Zen4 physical cores can be overclocked up to 5.1GHz and consumes 350W of power.
In terms of memory supply, this ThinkStation P8 computer is capable of accommodating up to 1TB of DDR5 memory in an octa-channel configuration, seven SSD PCIe 4.0 storage and three hard drives with large storage without problems, and is very useful in industries that require computer storage that is not only large, but also fast.
What is even more interesting is the graphics card configuration that can be found on this computer. Lenovo says that depending on the graphics card, you can fit three NVIDIA RTX 6000 graphics cards with 96 CU units and 48GB of GDDR6 memory. This workstation computer also comes with a 1400W power supply option to meet the high power requirements of all these components.
The design of the ThinkStation P8 PC frame is also inspired by the design of the Aston Martin DBS Grand which shows the front grill that resembles the car. There is a practical reason why this design is used for this computer.
Cooling this giant computer is the Lenovo Tri-Channel cooling system that uses six large cooling fans that maximize the intake of cold air and the output of hot air from the frame of this computer. With the maximum configuration, it is estimated that a Lenovo ThinkStation P8 computer will come with a weight of around 25.9KG.
Lenovo Malaysia has confirmed that the Lenovo ThinkStation P8 has been offered in the Malaysian market at a starting price of RM16,429.10.
