MediaTek today launched the Dimensity 9300+ as TSMC's flagship 4nm chip that has the ability to run generative artificial intelligence (AI) on devices. It is equipped with eight CPU cores with a configuration of 1 X CPU Cortex-4 3.4GHz, 3 X Cortex-X4 and 4X Cortex-A720. This is paired with an Arm Immortalis-G720 GPU that promises a 20% better performance boost for certain gaming scenarios.
The chip also utilizes the latest HyperEngine technology such as MediaTek Adaptive Gaming Technology (MAGT) which is not only capable of improving performance in games. In fact, it is able to extend battery life and ensure that the temperature of the device is always stable. In addition to also integrating the MediaTek Network Observation System (NOS) for better WiFi/Cellular networks.
APU 780 is supported allowing it to run various latest artificial intelligence (AI) models such as 01.AI Yi-Nano, Alibaba Cloud Qwen, Baichuan AI, ERNIE-3.5-SE, Google Gemini Nano, and Meta Llama 2 and Llama 3. Dimensity 9300+ also supports 4K display resolution at 120Hz refresh rate, or WQHD at 180Hz.
Through the Imagiq 990 ISP chip, a camera sensor of up to 320MP and a maximum video recording capability of 8K30 (7690 X 4320) can be used. The chip is also equipped with an AI Semantic Analysis Video Engine that can enhance video content with better colors and details. The 5G network (Sub-6GHz 4CC-CA) can also be enjoyed through the 5G R16 modem with a download speed of up to 7Gbps.
Vivo X100s and X100s Pro devices have been confirmed to use Dimensity 9300+ with it being launched in the near future.
