Meta is one of the companies making high investments in the artificial intelligence arena, and also offers their language models in open source form. Meta itself has also started integrating artificial intelligence support generated on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp – and offering it to users in some countries on a limited basis.
Apart from that, there are now reports that Meta is planning to introduce additional fees for some artificial intelligence features through their products. For now, it's still in the planning stage – and it's not known whether it will be introduced early or wait for Meta to introduce Meta AI widely around the world before announcing it.
For information, a number of artificial intelligence services charge service charges – and Google, Microsoft, X and others also charge additional fees to access AI features on their respective platforms. With this move, it may slightly reduce the operational cost of running artificial intelligence which often requires high processing power.
