Meta Tests Cross-Platform Sharing Features From Instagram To Threads

Meta applications such as Facebook and Instagram already support the cross-posting feature for sending Stories, Reels, videos and photos. Another feature that is more or less the same is sharing WhatsApp Status directly to Facebook. Most recently, Meta is testing the ability to share photos from Instagram directly to Threads.

According to TechCrunch, Meta confirmed that this feature is being tested globally. Some users are starting to accept the Share to Threads feature on Instagram just like the Share to Facebook feature that has been offered for a long time. This feature can also be activated or deactivated by the user at any time. For now, only photos can be shared across platforms. Reels and videos are still limited on Facebook.

This is probably because Meta is focusing on the balance of photos and videos on the Instagram platform. So cross-platform video sharing is not supported so that there is no dumping of video content on Meta social media platforms. This feature is also said to be limited to users with personal accounts, as in my review enterprise accounts are not yet able to use this feature.
