Microsoft launched their Surface Laptop gen 11 and Surface Pro gen 7 early this morning with both being categorized as Copilot+ PCs. There must be some wondering what exactly Copilot+ PC is and how it differs from AI PC which was also just announced this year.
The answer lies in the chip used in the PC. Copilot+ PCs are PCs with Qualcomm-produced chips such as the Snapdragon X Elite and running WIndows on Arm. Meanwhile, the AI PC is a PC that uses an Intel chip and runs Windows 11.
Both are new generation PCs that emphasize the ability to run AI tasks directly on the device and have a Copilot button built into the keyboard.
