Mr Beast is currently the most prominent YouTuber in the world overtaking PewDiePie who is now semi-retired in Japan. While still active, PewDiePie used to battle with T Series to hold the throne of the channel with the highest number of followers. He lost and T Series today is in the first place.
But now the T Series is being chased by Mr Beast. At the time of writing, Mr Beast had 259 million followers while T Series had 265 million. The gap between these two channels is getting smaller and last weekend Mr. Beast issued a challenge to box with the CEO of T Series, Bhushan Kumar.
The trend of inviting boxing competitors was popularized by YouTube about a decade ago. Jake Paul, Logan Paul and KSI are among the names that have boxed to gain followers. At the time the article was written, the T Series had not issued a statement on whether they wanted to accept Mr Beast's challenge.
For sure, the fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg was also delayed several times due to injuries and Elon seemed to be looking for a reason to withdraw.
