Nintendo Switch will stop supporting screenshot and video sharing to X/Twitter and even Facebook in the near future. Support for X will be discontinued starting June 10, 2024 while support for sharing to Facebook will be done at a date yet to be announced.
The announcement was made by Nintendo this morning and in addition the feature of sending friend requests through social media will also be discontinued from within the Friend Suggestions feature. Since being taken over by Elon Musk, a fee is charged to access the API that allows screenshots and video content to be shared to X/Twitter.
X support for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles has ended since November 13, 2023 while for Xbox since April 22, 2023.
