Passkey Settings Will Be Integrated In Android 15 and Wear OS 5

Google Passkey is a passwordless login method that receives FIDO recognition and is used by many manufacturers such as Google, Apple, Microsoft and many others. Google has started mandating the use of Passkey as well as instructing users to activate two-factor security. In the future, Passkey will continue to be integrated in Android 15 and Wear OS 5.

Previously, using Passkey on Android required two taps, namely account verification and then identity verification. In the future Android devices will only have one option which is to continue to verify identity. If the user has multiple accounts, then press More options for alternative options.

Meanwhile, on the Gboard keyboard - Passkey will also be entered as a password option or Sign in With Google. If the user selects Passkey, the account name will be displayed to easily log in to a service. Wear OS 5 will also receive a built-in Passkey, where users can choose a faster login method.
